We decided for the abusive scene we wanted the husband to be wearing a wife beater, we are going to get a white one for him to wear so we can stain it with beer and food smudges. We also want him to be wearing a pair of trackies. The reason for thus us because we want the show the character doesn't care about his appearance, that he's in a low paying job and he's your stereotypical good for nothing waster. We want him to have stubble on his face, and messy unkept hair. There will be a strong contrast to this in the wedding scene, when he will be wearing a smart suit, hair brushed and styled and a clean shaven face. We won't be putting any make up on the actor, although we are considering on smudging some black eyeliner under his eyes to make him look tired.

For the wives make-up it will take us abit longer to do as we are aiming to make her look exhausted and we want there to be bruises or cuts on her body/face to exaggerate her injuries she has received to push across to the audience the true sad reality of the situation. Millie has asked a friend who is currently doing a make up course if she would help us do the make up, if not i will learn an effective way to do it. We would like her to be wearing males clothing for the abusive scene, to push across this idea that she is his 'possession'. How she's not even allowed to wear her own clothes, she has to be wearing his. Showing his possessive attitude towards her. We have chosen for her to be wearing a white top, as white symbolises purity and innocence. Which will hopefully emphasise to the audience her position as the victim in this situation. As the top will be just a males large plain top, it will be a like a short dress, so she will wear short pj bottoms underneath hidden.

Another prop we will need to use is a telephone, we want to use a landline phone as one stance could be that the husband may not trust the wife with her own mobile. We want to use a landline phone that shows the call ID clearly. We are considering therefore using Millie's landline Phone. Lastly for the wedding scene we will need to get some wedding rings, but wedding rings are going to be slightly out of our price range.. But we will figure a solution around this.
